Exile in the Margins was formed in the summer of 2020 by the writer Martin Jones and the artist Rik Rawling to publish chapbooks and special editions focusing on prose, fiction, poetry and the design and artwork that binds such things together. We hope to reveal to you in some form or other silent woods on the edges of housing estates, desolate beaches on Christmas Day, spectral houses and unearthly murals, symbolic hares and midnight floods, chip-shop wrap and bladderwrack, foxes, black water nymphs, lost artists and crumbling lighthouses, the neon glow of a seafront arcade on a drizzly night, swimming at six a.m., red kites and other marvels of the air, walking at eleven p.m., forgotten singers playing in empty pubs, actresses escaping the past, cephalopods, lonely monsters in Soho, elusive rock stars and so much more...
